FlashVue Partner Email Marketing Setup
Getting the word out is essential for increasing user engagement, and email is one of the easiest and most effective ways to do this. Each FlashVue competition asks players whether they are happy to be contacted about future competitions you may organise. This gives you a valuable list of people who have already shown interest.
However, most standard email providers are not designed to handle large-scale marketing campaigns. Because of this, you will likely need to use a dedicated email marketing service.
The following guide walks you through setting up an account with Mailjet, a French company that specialises in large-scale email campaigns. You are not limited to using this provider. If you already have an email marketing service, you can continue using it. Alternatively, other platforms such as Mailchimp may also suit your needs.
Step 1 — Create Your Email Marketing Account
Create your free account:
Typical setup time: 5-6 minutes
For the Mailjet ‘Free’ account you will need your name, email address, and a password. After creating your account, you will be asked what subscription you would like. To start, we would recommend the ‘Free’ tier as it covers most of what you will need.
The free plan is usually sufficient for most partners as it offers:
• Up to 1,000 subscribers
• Up to 6,000 emails per month
• Basic campaign tools
• Simple signup forms
These limits are normally more than enough for sending competition announcements.
Next, you will need to choose your account tier. The Free level should be more than sufficient to get started.
Step 2 - Confirm your email
After selection the ‘Free’ account, you will recieve an email to confirm setup. Use the link/Button in the email to take you to the login page.
Step 3 - LogIn
If you need help with this stage….
Step 4 - Finish Setup
The next steps will allow you to finish setting up your account. Just follow the onscreen prompts.
Once you have logged in, you will be taken to the ‘Welcome Guide’ setup wizard.
The next step is to Create a ‘Contact List’. These will be the list of those that have opted-in to recieve notifications of any new competitions you are running. This can be found in your ‘Partner Dashboard‘.
Give your ‘Contact List’ a name. Make sure it’s relevant as you will no doubt have muktiple lists.
You will next have the opportunity to add ‘Contacts’ (your mailing list). This is where you use the ‘Email subscribers export’ from the ‘Results & Revenue’ tab in your dashboard. Download the CSV file from your dashboard and you will then be able to load it in this section of MailJet.
Once your CSV is uploaded, you can finalise your setup.
This is the most complex part of the contact setup. The CSV file you have uploaded contains four (4) headings: ’email’, ‘first_name’, ‘competition_name’, and ‘game’.
You need to match these with fields in Mailjet.
- Select the ‘Propriété’ dropdown in the first ‘Manquante’.
- In the list below, select the following entry – “na… chaîne de caractères”
- That box is complete.
- Repeat step 1 and 2 on the next ‘Manquante’ box.
- In this next box you will need to choose “compe… chaîne de caractères”.
- In the last ‘Manquante’ box, you should choose “jeu chaîne de caractères”
- 7Click the green ‘Continuer’ button.
The final step is to accept ‘Mailjet’s terms. That’s it….your contact list is created.
All you need do now is create email campaigns from within mailJet (using our email content templates from your dashboard).

Suggested Sending Schedule
Many partners use the following schedule:
| When to Send | |
|---|---|
| Launch | When the competition opens |
| Reminder | Midway through the competition |
| Final Call | Shortly before closing |
This helps maximise participation without sending too many emails.
